New team member: Marius Beune
|
 We would like to introduce to you our new Sales Executive Mr. Marius Beune. Although he studied engineering, his career has always been in Sales & Marketing. Since 1994 he has been working all over Europe in the field of plastic films and aluminium foils as well as foils for technical applications.
In 2002 Marius Beune was involved in the Europe-wide market launch of PLA-films. He is fluent in Dutch, German, English, French and Spanish and is responsible for sales of Ceramis-Films in various European countries.

Certification
Successful re-certification audit of BRC/IoP standard
|
 The first re-certification-audit of the BRC/IoP norm was successfully passed on 31st August 2007. The certification for CERAMIS® was initially carried out in February 2007 in accordance with risk category B (direct food contact). The BRC/IoP standard is a guideline for manufacturers of food packaging for retail branded products and their suppliers. It was developed by the British Retail Consortium (BRC) in cooperation with the Institute of Packaging (IoP). Due to its precisely defined requirements on the product, the hygiene and the quality management, this standard has become well established outside of Great Britain, too. |

Alcan Packaging participates at the "BioKunststoffe" (organic plastics) symposium
|
 From 18th – 19th September 2007 the 1st symposium on ”BioKunststoffe“ will be held in Duisburg (Germany). The symposium provides information on new application developments, manufacturing processes and new organic plastics. We will be represented at this event with an information booth to present our CERAMIS® high barrier films, especially our new biodegradable PLA-SiOx films. We are looking forward to seeing you at ”BioKunststoffe”! |
