CERAMIS® at IPACK-IMA in Milan (Italy)
|
 From the 14th–18th February 2006 the 20th IPACK-IMA will be held at the new Fiera Milano Exhibition Center in Rho-Pero. IPACK-IMA is a general, all inclusive event with areas of special emphasis and strength. They include Bevertech, devoted to the processing, bottling, and packaging for the beverage industry, Grain Based Food Technology which covers equipment for pasta, bread, pizza, and oven-baked products, Materials and Solutions for the packaging industry, and Material Handling, offering logistics solutions.
Together with our sister company, Alcan Packaging Cumbria, we will be exhibiting at the IPACK-IMA, displaying both our high barrier CERAMIS® films as well as special laminating films. You are invited to come and visit us at our Booth B34 in Hall 5! |

Film Types
New 23µm CERAMIS® Film
|
 The CERAMIS® portfolio has been enhanced by the introduction of a new 23µm PET film. This new CERAMIS® film offers the same technical features as the 12µm CPT001 grade. It can be used in all non heat-treated applications. |

Innovation
PLA - Biodegradable Films
|
 The use of CERAMIS® coating technology has led to the successful application of an oxygen barrier on biodegradable PLA films. Our calculations from initial production runs reveal that the oxygen barrier improves from approximately 1000 cm3/(m2 bar d) to nearly 20 cm3/(m2 bar d). The thin SiOx layer does not influence the biodegradability of the films. Stay tuned to our website for further information about ongoing developments. |
