New Products
Simple, quick and tasty – fresh ready meals in kneading pouches
|
 Under the trade name Easy-Meal the German company Hermann Teigwaren GmbH in Kirchheim/Teck sells fresh ready meals which are filled in stand-up pouches with a special spout. The pouch material consists of a 2-ply-laminate with a CERAMIS® barrier.
Easy-Meal dough mix don’t contain preserving agents. Cut-up and sugared pancakes with raisins is one example of their wide product range.
Preparation of the ready-meals is very easy: Open the kneading pouch, fill in water, close the lid, shake and knead the pouch and pour the mix into the pan! |

New Products
Award for Asian Style Selections
|
 The US Wornick Company won a Best Taste Award from the American Culinary Institute for their Asian Style Selections and Cooked Rice of the product line ”Homestyle Express”.
The products can be heated in the microwave and are ready to be served after only two minutes.
Asian Style Selections and Cooked Rice are packed in stand-up pouches consisting of a 3-layer-laminate with a CERAMIS® barrier. A transparent bottom makes the content of the pouch visible. The products which have a shelf-life of 12 months without refrigeration are available in all Wal-Mart Supercenters in the USA. |

Continuous barriers
|
 Our CERAMIS® retort grades produced during 2004 were constantly of very high quality and the measured barrier properties within a narrow band. For the quality check over 1600 laboratory laminates were produced and the oxygen permeation rates were determined after retorting at 121°C for 30 minutes. The diagramme of the CPT005 grade demonstrates the reliability of CERAMIS® films even under harsh conditions. |

CERAMIS® Polyamide – the useful alternative
|
Barrier coatings on Polyester are today’s standard for various packaging solutions.
But some applications require more than just standard. If you need to protect the inks against migrations of aggressive or highly pigmented goods or, if you need a barrier close to the product, or if you want to print on your standard Polyester, then CERAMIS® on Polyamide opens new ways for better solutions.
